Next, I thought they would look cute on wooden blocks, posted a video of that on Instagram.
How to:
- Print a color copy of the image on a laser printer (it won't work with inkjet copies). Make sure to reverse the image when printing to ensure it comes out facing the right direction after the next step.
- Apply a thin layer of Liquitex Gloss Gel to a wooden block and place the image face down onto the wet medium, smooth it out, and leave it to dry overnight.
- The next day, use some water to wet the back of the image and rub off the paper, leaving a transfer of the photo on the wooden block.
It wasn't a difficult project, and I'll be looking for some wooden boxes to repeat this on since I love the chicken images.
It's not my first bird/chicken project either ...
Is there a motif or symbol you find yourself returning to again and again in your creativity?
