TV news has become overwhelming; Twitter has been a time-suck; and Facebook is too opinionated, in my opinion. Simplifying & taking control now. Keeping informed, and staying in-touch with issues quickly each morning and afternoon via news aggregates, links below. Of course I'll still be on social media, but not letting it suck me down into hours of lost-time anymore:

Taking control of what I consume, and what I produce. Not ignoring the world, but making time to play and create. Creativity is going on my calendar as a to-do now, making time for what's important.
Hi Tammy, it's really easy to let your time be sucked away by online activities. I've been a victim myself! Nowadays I try not to subscribe to too many feed. Currently, my biggest time waster is Candy Crush. I wish I could quit. My creativity has been on the decline for so long I've stopped trying to defend myself. I think my creativity goes thru a cycle and I'm pretty much at the bottom right now but I believe it'll come back one of these days. Anyway, I'm way too busy with my bread obsession. Also, I'm learning a new programming language and that alone takes up many hours every day. Plus I've to keep sharpening my skills in the various software I use. Every night I go to bed thinking there's not enough hours in a day.
ReplyDeleteSame here! Not enough hours in the day... and funny thing is, the more I schedule myself for, the more I manage to accomplish - so I think adding more to my list this month is a little stressful, but in the end, I'll be getting more done.
