Just wrapping up April since I haven’t posted much in the last week! Been busy, crafting and taking pictures, but not sitting still long enough to blog about them.
Bits of t-shirt fabric (recycling unusable clothes for this project). First step – I’m painting these, then will layer, stitch and bead to make some new cuff bracelets for my etsy shop. Look familiar? I’m taking the idea from the skirt I made previously from the pattern in the Alabama Stitch Book.
Crochet, baby Hip Dress project in-progress (a gift… there are no more babies in my house!). This is the one I carry in my handbag for on-the-go crafting.
I’ve been crocheting so much lately that I think my knitting has gone wonky. I’m starting to knit myself a short-sleeve sweater, the Arm Candy pattern ... and my gauge has been consistently off no matter what I do. I’m going to knit a size smaller and measure as I go… I hope this works!
My Mother’s Day Banner Bunting Tutorial has a link at this new website, AllFreeHolidayCrafts.com – it’s pretty nice, if you check it out, let me know what you think.
I have an odd bunch of things up for sale on eBay right now – tamdoll2001 is my ID. There’s: a dress from the 80’s; Archie comics, 6-unopened, from the marriage series; Yogi Bear child’s bracelets from the 1970’s; and a stamp collecting book from the 1930’s – a collector may want that one, but also a collage artist would probably love it for the great graphics. Once in a while I shop on eBay – and every so often I clean out my closets and sell things there, too. Have you ever? I noticed that fees have gone up, not sure what that means for me just yet – if it will affect whether I do business there in the future. The auctions I have listed will close Sunday, May 8, 2011.
What have you been up to lately?
I have shopped on eBay before but I notice many "shops" don't ship outside us and canada. Even when I write and enquire, they don't bother with me. I wonder why. A biz is still a biz. Rite? Listing on Singapore ebay is free but I think there's some restriction on listing international postage.
ReplyDeleteoh dear, I remember those Archie comic books!! I haven't put anything on eBay for a long time. And I love that t-shirt coloring. Beautiful blue {:-D
ReplyDeleteDeleted a previous comment - opas.com may be a legitimate and valuable service for overseas shipping. I have no experience with them - just want you to know that the comments of my blog posts are not a forum for advertisers.
ReplyDeleteI always give international shipping options & just today spent soooo much time trying to fix a correction to an error that I made on a listing. So frustrating. I hope they sell to make it worthwhile!
ReplyDeleteStitched on the blue bracelets and the first is so big, I'm upset. Will have to adjust the next one and hope someone with a big wrist will want it. I hope these items sell, the Archies are a double set that my daughter had received in the mail - my kids are addicted to reading them. They'd probably be embarrassed if they knew I wrote that on the internet, too.
this is wonderful - all your projects are and so varied...love that about true crafters...
ReplyDeletehope your week is starting off great.

I am loving your crochet project! I have also been so into crocheting lately that I purposefully started a knitting project, just to keep in good shape!
ReplyDeleteA few more months and I hope to be able to carry around some crochet projects again. It's been way too long. But with youngest starting preschool in fall, I'll have a few hours a week to myself! ☺ Thanks for stopping by my site, I hope your bread turns out well. Great idea to retard it in the fridge overnight, should have great flavor that way. ♥
ReplyDeleteSo - truth! Are there really three of you?
ReplyDeleteYou get so much done you make my dabbler head spin!
Only one of me. I'm so glad my ebay listings caught some interest, now I can relax that the sale will be over in a day and I'll have some less clutter in my house while others can enjoy my treasures! Now I have to catch up on finishing the crochet project and not be discouraged by the knitting anymore.
